Publication 14. 11. 2022

A big part of a full Prague experience is definitely a beer. We picked for you a few of our favorite places where you can get one!

Lokál U Bílé kuželky

You can find more than one pub in Prague called Lokál and that is because all of these places are part of a group of restaurants called Ambiente. You can expect a really good quality of both food and drinks in all of these restaurants from Ambiente, even though the styles and cuisines differ between them.

In Lokál you can find traditional Czech cuisine for a good price but most importantly a really good beer from Pilsner Urquell. You can be sure that the quality of the beer has the highest standard imaginable since all the Lokáls closely cooperate with the brewery and they make sure that the beer gets the best treatment from their highly experienced barrtenders. They also have a wide array of traditional Czech entry dishes that go really well with the beer.

It is also in a close proximity of our office so if you have some time after the tour with us, we highly recommend giving it a try at least for one beer.

Malostranská Beseda

In Malostranská Beseda you will find not one, but four different atmospheres to enjoy. If you want get some food with your beer, you can visit their restaurant with a nice view on Malostranské náměstí where they have great traditional Czech cuisine, but if you decide to go there later in the evening, you can visit their beer cellar which is more beer focused and is really well suited for a nice evening with your friends over a cold Pilsner Urquell. Aside from beer you can also try many traditional Czech spirits, that you won’t find in your local liquor store.

If you decide to go there a little earlier in the day, you can visit their café where you can try their breakfast with some nice coffee and many delicious desserts. Although if you feel like getting a small beer to start your day, you can get it there as well.

Want to have a taste of a Prague nightlife? There is also a club where you can see some cool artists. Click here to see their upcoming events!

NAPA bar and gallery

If you are looking for more of bar atmosphere, do not hesitate to visit NAPA! NAPA is a bar with great atmosphere and if you are with someone, who does not like beer, you can also get a cocktail made from their wide range of spirits. Aside from several great Czech beers, they also have a famous Irish Guinness on a tap.

It is not only about drinking in NAPA though. What brings a lot of people to NAPA bar is an Open mic night which happens every Tuesday from 19:00 and everyone who feels like it can show of their talent! Aside from Open mic you can also have a nice game of pool or foosball in NAPA or check out their art gallery, that changes every month.

Worth visiting is also their inner block garden where you can relax, have a drink and completely forget, that you are in a busy city center.

Pivovar Strahov

Strahov brewery is the second oldest microbrewery in Czech Republic and it is one of our most favorite places where to get beer! It is located in a still functioning monastery complex that was established in year 1143.

You cannot get the beer they make anywhere else because it is sold only there. Apart from lager, for which is Czech Republic known for, you can try other more unique craft beers from their menu. The best thing is, that they change their craft beer selection based on the season, so during hot summer you can cool yourself down with a tasty sour ALE and in cold winter you can warm yourself up with a nice and flavorful dark beer. The beer you can get there will also go perfectly with all of the delicious meals from their kitchen.

The brewery is not the only thing worth seeing at Strahov monastery! Apart from the best view point in Prague, you can also visit a beautiful baroque church and a breathtaking library that you might have seen before in big Hollywood movies.

If you want to visit that place and you want to know more about it, you can see it on one of our tours: E-scooters, 3-hour segways and One Prague Tour: The Castle Side!

We are looking forward to get a beer with you during one of our tours!
